Precision Timing Infrastructure

Time
matters.

Every network, power grid, laboratory and financial system runs on time. Not the kind you read off a clock — the kind measured in nanoseconds. When that time drifts, things go wrong in ways that are hard to see and expensive to fix.

We build the infrastructure that keeps time honest.

Why time synchronisation matters
The problem

A few nanoseconds.
Enormous consequences.

Most infrastructure engineers trust their network clocks. They shouldn't — not blindly. The difference between a synchronised system and a drifting one is invisible until something breaks.

Quantum · QKD · Quantum Internet
Counting the right photon means the transmitter and receiver must share the same clock.
Required: <100 ps · GPS: not enough, not safe enough.
Telecom · 5G mmWave · TDD
High-throughput mmWave only works as designed when every cell's clock is perfect. Off by nanoseconds, and critical applications fail.
TDD guard: ~200 ns · eCPRI: ±65 ns · NTP: ±50 ms.
Finance · Exchange · MiFID II
A trade gets flagged. The timestamp is off by a millisecond - the clock, not the trader.
Required: ±1 µs · NTP drift: up to 50 000× over tolerance.
Science · Observatories · Big Science
Three telescopes, three continents, one black hole. The image only works if the clocks agree.
VLBI / gravitational waves: <1 ns across continents.
// what "synchronised" actually means
NTP
± 50 ms
PTP
± 1 µs
WR
< 1 ns
NTP is what most networks use. PTP is better — but degrades in real environments. White Rabbit is a deterministic, fibre-based protocol developed at CERN that delivers sub-nanosecond accuracy at scale — without depending on GPS.
What we build

Hardware, software
and integration — end to end.

We are building a family of White Rabbit products for telecommunications, critical infrastructure, scientific research and quantum communication. We do not sell components — we deliver working synchronisation infrastructure, from network design to production monitoring.

WRS-T
WRS-T

White Rabbit Switch Telco

Carrier-grade. Redundant power, holdover, long-range SFP. For telecom, FinTech and critical infrastructure.

WRS-S
WRS-S

White Rabbit Switch Science

Optimised for laboratory and research environments. Sub-ns distribution across distributed experiment networks.

SPEC A7
SPEC A7 v1.1

White Rabbit Node

Standalone timing receiver. 2× SFP, 10 MHz, PPS, ToD outputs. Integrates WR into any existing system.

DIOT + KASLI Sync
KASLI Sync · WRPLL

DIOT System + KASLI Sync

Modular instrument platform for quantum and photonic experiments — including distributed multi-node setups.

01 · Hardware

Built for the environment

Every product came from a specific requirement — not from a desire to expand a catalogue. We design for the conditions your infrastructure actually operates in.

02 · Software

Visibility across the network

We are building a management system that gives operators full visibility of synchronisation state — monitoring, alarms, drift history, diagnostics — from one place.

03 · Integration

Your infrastructure already exists

We do not require greenfield. We integrate White Rabbit with existing PTP, GPS grandmasters and NMS systems. We design around what you have.
